Early beginnings
Chemifloc was founded by Ed Storey and Hilary Lawless in 1981.
Small-scale manufacturing and distribution of coagulants and polyelectrolytes.
Joint venture with E&A West leading to opening of manufacturing plant in Galway

Strong growth & investment
Strong growth and winning of national contracts.
Significant investment in manufacturing technology.
Transferred operations to Shannon.

New facility increases footprint
Acquisition of Alumina Chemicals and transfer of operations to Shannon.
Facility at Foynes port developed to aid bulk importation of raw materials.

Launch of in-house lab
Acquired Goulding Chemicals, rebranded to GI Chemicals, becoming the largest sodium hydroxide distributor in Ireland.
Expanded facilities at Foynes port.
Launched Chemilabs to provide jar and water testing to the marketplace.

UK expansion
Period of significant growth in the Irish market.
Expansion into the UK with addition of port facilities in Immingham.
Continued to build out support services in Shannon.
